  Overview

  We know that all students have different reasons for studying English.

  
  

  With this in mind, English Unlimited’s intensive General English course helps you to progress quickly and enjoyably, depending on your level and focus for learning English. Our General English course is designed to provide comprehensive, practical experience in the range of skills and language elements necessary for global lifelong learners needing to socialise and work in an international environment. Information and content is directly related to the learner and their experience; learning is an active, learner-centred, co-operative process. We teach you what you need to learn!

  
  

  The General English timetable is designed to offer short, interesting, dynamic blocks of English experience. All classes have 2 teachers - one core class teacher who knows you and your strengths/weaknesses well, and an afternoon teacher who will help you develop your English skills with fun, dynamic activities that complement and extend your morning’s work. Our General English classes run from Monday to Thursday so you can spend your Fridays doing extra study with us, by joining our Communicative English Skills or Hospitality Skills classes, taking practice exams, working or travelling. We know you want flexibility… so our General English class is flexibly arranged, for you!

  Overview

  EAP is an intensive academic English course for learners planning to enrol in a university, a Foundation Studies Program, TAFE or Vocational College. The course focuses upon increasing skills for academic study in English, and extending learners’ abilities. Course components include Library Research Skill and Introduction to Computer Skills including multimedia, the internet and email for study and research. Learners are assessed through weekly class tests, regular homework and class tasks and extended projects including extended essays, survey reports, literature reviews and oral presentations.

  
  

  We have 2 EAP levels:

  
  

  EAP B: This level is demanding and learners need to be at least Upper Intermediate level. Learners must complete 10 weeks in this course and get a B- grade or higher in the major assessments to get direct entry into TAFE.

  
  

  EAP A: This course is very demanding and intensive. Learners must complete 10 weeks in this course and must get a B+ grade in all 5 assessments in order to enter any University with which we have an articulation agreement.

  Overview

  Our Business English class focuses on global real life issues, situations and practical elements which make it the perfect course for students planning on expanding their career internationally.

  
  

  Our experienced and knowledgeable teachers target specific areas for students to develop and personalise classes to meet different student needs.   English Unlimited’s 12 week CAE course prepares students for the speaking, reading, listening and writing components of the CAE, in addition to broadening their English lexicon, increasing confidence and cultural ability in communication with native and non-native speakers and developing advanced grammatical structures. The course adapts general English competencies to the specific requirements of the CAE examination and helps students to develop the necessary linguistic skills to ensure success in the CAE examination.

  IELTS Preparation - Full-time (morning & evening) & Part-time (evening only)

  
  

  English Unlimited’s full-time IELTS class is a 12 week course designed to develop the specific language skills of learners preparing to take the IELTS examination. The course provides practical guidance in the development and application of linguistic skills relevant to the IELTS examination requirements including vocabulary, grammar, text production and analysis and listening and speaking. Every 4 weeks we have ‘Skills week’ where students sit a full IELTS test over the week and get detailed feedback from our experienced and dedicated teacher. Students who attend all classes and satisfactorily complete all set homework should progress by IELTS .5 over 12 weeks.

  
  

  Our part-time course gives learners the flexibility to enrol in the skills which they need to develop. Please note that the part-time course cannot be used to apply for a student visa.

  Overview

  OET (Occupational English Test) is an international English language proficiency test designed to specifically assess the skills of healthcare professionals.

  
  

  This OET Preparation* course is specifically designed to help students prepare for the nursing OET, and aims to provide comprehensive, practical experience in the range of skills necessary to successfully complete the OET. The OET is designed to test language skills needed for effective communication with patients, their families and colleagues within the medical profession, and the preparation course reflects this, through additional crucial cultural communication. There is a ‘cultural customs’ element of the course in addition to the exam preparation, in order to make learners aware of the need to use appropriate intonation, body language and gestures. Private OET Preparation lessons are also available (please enquire).
