EAP is an intensive academic English course for learners planning to enrol in a university, a Foundation Studies Program, TAFE or Vocational College. The course focuses upon increasing skills for academic study in English, and extending learners’ abilities. Course components include Library Research Skill and Introduction to Computer Skills including multimedia, the internet and email for study and research. Learners are assessed through weekly class tests, regular homework and class tasks and extended projects including extended essays, survey reports, literature reviews and oral presentations.
We have 2 EAP levels:
EAP B: This level is demanding and learners need to be at least Upper Intermediate level. Learners must complete 10 weeks in this course and get a B- grade or higher in the major assessments to get direct entry into TAFE.
EAP A: This course is very demanding and intensive. Learners must complete 10 weeks in this course and must get a B+ grade in all 5 assessments in order to enter any University with which we have an articulation agreement.

Designed to help you pursue further academic studies in English, this course will strengthen your reading and writing skills. You’ll improve your grammar usage and build your vocabulary by exploring academic topics.
Students who wish to enroll EAP will have as their specific study objective to join a college or university for further study. The focus of the EAP course is develop the skills areas in English which will be required to study alongside native speakers in mainstream course areas.
EAP I will meet English language requirements for colleges and other RTO private colleges offering VET (Vocational Training) courses. Students will need to reach a level consistent with 5.5 IELTS.
Students entering the EAP course at level 2 will be seeking a pass at IELTS 6.0+ in order to enter a tertiary course of their choice. Students graduating from this course will have a level consistent with their achieving a level in IELTS, which is at least 6 for graduates of EAP 2.
