    The qualification is suited to individuals who possess significant theoretical business skills and knowledge and wish to consolidate and build pathways to further educational or employment opportunities.

    This qualification would apply to individuals with various job titles including executive officers, program consultants and program coordinators. Individuals in these roles may possess substantial experience in a range of settings, but seek to further develop their skills across a wide range of business functions. Conversely, it may also apply to those with little or no vocational experience, but who possess sound theoretical business skills and knowledge that they would like to develop in order to create further educational and employment opportunities.

    Diploma of Mental Health

    "Mental health is arguably one of the most critical and dynamic areas of public health across the world. It is an integral and essential component of health. The World Health Organisation states: “Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.”
    The Diploma of Mental Health equips graduates with the skills to support their client’s holistic health and an overall state of well-being in which an individual realises his or her own abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and is able to make a contribution to his or her community. With more than one in five people suffering a mental health illness at some point in their lives, well trained Mental Health professionals are essential for a healthy community.

    Mental health students are trained across service delivery areas – including prevention, planning, delivery and treatment, recovery and evaluation. There is a strong emphasis on working with diverse cultures and communities, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

    Mental Health professionals are typically employed in a range of settings including schools, medical centres, outreach services. hospitals, shelters, community service providers, educational institutions, prisons and long term residential facilities.

    Pathways into mental health as a career include vocational training and tertiary qualifications. Students who complete this qualification may be eligible for entry into higher education programs in areas such as Social Work, Nursing, Psychology, Human Services and Applied Public Health. VET Pathways include Advanced Diploma in Community Sector Management.

    The Diploma of Mental Health offers graduates a variety of employment opportunities within the health, human and community services sectors. These may include Welfare Support Workers and Mental Health Outreach Support Workers, Community Engagement Workers and other Rehabilitation Workers within the sector.

    Direct entry into the Diploma is available to eligible applicants; or students might choose to study the Certificate IV in Community Services or the Certificate IV in Mental Health before commencing this Diploma program."

    Community Services

    This program gives graduates a variety of employment opportunities within the health, disability and community services industries. The Diploma of Community Services equips you with the skills and knowledge to specialise in case management and coordination of services; program coordination; delivery of person-centred services to individuals, groups and communities; and new business development in the community services sector.

    Direct entry into the Diploma is available to eligible applicants; or you might choose to study the Certificate IV in Community Services before commencing a Diploma program.

    This qualification provides a pathway into further study at Advanced Diploma level, and/or pathways to Higher Education qualifications in Social Work, Disability or Strategic Leadership.

    Diploma of Early Childhood Education & Care

    This qualification reflects the role of early childhood educators who are responsible for designing and implementing curriculum in early childhood education and care services. In doing so they work to implement an approved learning framework within the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standard. They may have responsibility for supervision of volunteers or other staff.
    Under the Education and Care Services National Law (2011) the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) publishes lists of approved early childhood education and care qualifications and information regarding regulatory requirements here: www.acecqa.gov.au.

    This program is delivered using a blended learning mode. Students attend regular on-campus sessions each month, supported by self paced online learning. Each learner has a dedicated Educator to provide support through their learning journey.

    Advanced Diploma of Community Sector Management

    Are you an existing health or community services professional or perhaps looking to build on your existing Diploma studies?
    The Advanced Diploma of Community Sector Management qualification reflects the role of workers who are middle managers or managers across a range of community sector organisations. These people work independently and report to executive management, directors or boards of management. They undertake a range of functions requiring the application of knowledge and skills to achieve results in line with the organisation’s goals and strategic directions.

    At this level, workers have responsibility for planning and monitoring service delivery, recruitment and performance management of other paid or unpaid workers, managing risk and contributing to continuous improvement within the scope of their specific role. This may include management of a specific programs or project, or broader management of a community-based organisation, early childhood education service, not-for-profit organisation or community centre.

    Pathways into community sector management as a career include vocational training and tertiary qualifications. Students who complete this qualification may be eligible for entry into higher education programs in areas such as Social Work, Human Services and Applied Public Health.

    Direct entry into the Advanced Diploma is available to eligible applicants; or students might choose to study the Diploma of Nursing, Diploma of Community Services, Diploma of Counselling or Diploma of Mental Health before commencing this Advanced Diploma program.

    All candidates who undertake the Advanced Diploma of Community Sector Management will be provided with advice on employment and training options.

    Certificate III in Individual Support

    Diploma of Leadership & Management

    This program is suitable for self-motivated people who hold a genuine interest in working in management and leadership capacities and who have or who wish to further develop the skills and knowledge required to provide high quality services in a variety of industry sectors.     This is an excellent program for individuals who wish to develop leadership and management skills, and can be used as a pathway into higher level qualifications at the undergraduate degree level.

    Diploma of Care

    The EN works with the registered nurse (RN) as part of the health care team and demonstrates competence in the provision of person-centred care. Core practice generally requires the EN to work under the direct or indirect supervision of the RN. At all times, the EN retains responsibility for his/her actions and remains accountable in providing delegated nursing care.
